Just a few months ago, he had also stated how India’s Defence manufacturing capabilities are a reflection of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He had stated, “Our total defence manufacture stands at a monumental one lakh crore. Try figuring it out by scribbling the number, in digits, on a piece of paper. This shows India is becoming self-reliant (Atmanirbhar) and leaders across the world acknowledge that 21st century shall belong to India.”

Towards Atmanirbharta…

It is truly commendable that Bharat has been able to expand its manufacturing capabilities. It has started exporting defence equipments like LCA-Tejas, aircrafts and light combat helicopters etc. Recently, Bharat has delivered its first batch of supersonic Brahmos missile to Philippines. Furthermore, as per Mint report, Bharat is exporting its defence goods to more than 85 nations. More than a hundred companies are already exporting defence goods. Several highly advanced defence weapons, including Brahmos missiles and 155 mm Advanced Towed Artillery Guns, have been exported to other countries.
