Mahakumbh 2025 Logo Unveiled, Preparations In Full Swing!

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled the new multi-coloured logo of Mahakumbh 2025 in an event on Sunday. The design of the logo features a temple, some Sadhus, the Akshayvat tree, the Amrit Kalash and an image of Shri Hanuman. The Amrit Kalash, has deep symbolic meaning in Hinduism. It represents abundance, prosperity and spiritual purity. The water inside it represents the ocean, the mouth represents Shri Vishnu, the neck represents Rudra, the base represents Brahma, and the middle part represents the embodiment of all the goddesses. It symbolises the divine  energy that sustains life and that is why, it is worshipped first in all poojas.

Then as Sadhus and seers from all over the country gather at Mahakumbh, which is the world’s largest gathering of pilgrims. The logo shows them blowing the scared conch. Furthermore, since the Mahakumbh is going to be held at Prayagraj, the logo also features the sacred Triveni Sangam. The flow of the rivers representing the eternal force of life itself.

Above the logo, the Motto of Mahakumbh, “Sarvasiddhipradah Kumbhah” (Kumbh bestows all types of spiritual powers) is written. Overall, the logo represents the confluence of – nature and human consciousness with the eternal truth. During this event, CM Yogi Adityanath also launched an official website and an app for the same. He also posted a video unveiling the logo of the Mahakumbh in a post on X.

Mahakumbh 2025 Preparations In Full Swing…

CM Yogi Adityanath has set a deadline of 15th of December 2024 to provide all the facilities to the devotees participating in the Mahakumbh Mela 2025. During the event, he announced that the preparations are in full swing. The government will be using AI to ensure safety, focusing on ‘Zero Plastic Usage’ and on expanding the area of Mahakumbh Mela.

He further said that, with the exception of the six busiest days of the festival—Makar Sankranti, Mouni Amawasya, Mahashivratri, Posh Purnima, and Maghi Purnima. The government is working to ensure that no devotee has to travel more than 1km during the festival. He emphasised that the government will supply more than 700 shuttle electric vehicles to make transportation easier for devotees.

Addressing the problem of cleanliness, CM Yogi Adityanath said, “no solid or liquid wastes” will be discharged into the Ganga or Yamuna. He also made it clear that the sewage would be treated before being diverted or discharged. While explaining that the state government is working diligently to clean the rivers. CM Yogi Adityanath also seeked the cooperation of the Sadhus community to maintain the sanctity of the area. He urged the Sadhus to ensure that only authorised individuals are allowed to stay in their ashrams. This would reinforce security and order in the Mahakumbh Mela.

Addressing a press conference he said that proper arrangements should be made for the safety and security of devotees. He emphasised on for proper counselling and the training of the volunteers.  “There should be no place for negativity,” he added.

Dates And ‘Shahi Snan’ Schedule..

The Mahakumbh Mela is scheduled to take place from January 14, 2025 to February 26, 2025. Strict security protocols are being implemented.

Recently, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced has prohibited the sale and consumption of meat and liquor within the Mahakumbh Mela area. This decision was made to respect the sentiments of the Sanatan community.

The main bathing festivals also known as the ‘Shahi Snan,’ are scheduled for January 14th, January 29th and February 3rd. In other words on Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya and Basant Panchami respectively.
