Adding fuel to the fire, Pannun announced financial support of ₹5 lacks for the families of the neutralised terrorists, further showcasing his agenda to glorify militancy and terrorism.

Swift Response from Authorities

The Pilibhit Police immediately took cognisance of the video and filed a case under relevant sections at the Cyber Police Station in Pilibhit. The police assured the public of stringent action against Pannun and stated that investigations were underway.

A statement from the Pilibhit Police read: “The individual is issuing threats to spread terror during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. A case has been registered, and further legal action is being pursued.” Security agencies have intensified surveillance, and UP Police is coordinating closely with central agencies to ensure a safe Maha Kumbh.

The Pilibhit Encounter

The threat stems from the recent Pilibhit encounter, where three Khalistani terrorists were neutralised in a joint operation by Punjab and UP Police. These individuals, linked to the Khalistan Zindabad Force, had carried out a grenade attack on a police post in Punjab and were plotting further violence. The encounter was lauded as a significant achievement in curbing Khalistani terror networks.

Rising Threats of Khalistani Terrorism Pannun

Pannun’s threats highlight the growing menace of Khalistani elements attempting to disrupt peace in India. Their strategy involves exploiting sensitive events like the Maha Kumbh to spread fear and create chaos. Experts warn that such rhetoric is not only dangerous but also an attempt to internationalize Khalistani propaganda.

Peace and Security

The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is expected to attract millions of devotees, making it a potential target for anti-national elements. However, the strong response from authorities and the vigilance of Indian security forces serve as a reminder of the nation’s resilience. While Pannun’s threats aim to incite fear, the unity and commitment of law enforcement agencies to protect citizens stand firm.

India’s fight against Khalistani terrorism continues, with a clear message — such acts of violence will not be tolerated.
