As a labor in-charge of the factory where Mujahid worked as a daily wager, Om Prakash harbored not-so-platonic feelings for Mujahid. Reportedly, Mujahid told the police that Om Prakash used to threaten him with nude pictures. He also sexually harassed him regularly. However, the Woke Mind of Om Prakash soon became obsessed with the thought of marrying Mujahid.
Recently, Mujahid had left the factory to work at the local beauty salon, which prompted Om Prakash to escalate his ‘Love’ plans.
Therefore, probably inspired by the portrayal of many gender-changing soap operas, Woke Om Prakash concocted an outlandish scheme. Registering Mujahid under the alias “Nagma,” this ‘peaceful’ was allegedly lured by Om Prakash to a hospital under the false pretense of a necessary medical procedure. And here his surreal ordeal began.
Om Prakash had colluded with a ‘Peaceful’ surgeon named Dr. Farooqui against his ‘Peaceful’ friend Mujahid.
Together Om Prakash and the Dr. Farooqi seem to have orchestrated a forced gender transition surgery. Yes, you read that right! In an episode straight from a daytime soap, Mujahid woke up from anesthesia only to discover that he was no longer HE, but SHE. His family jewels and genitals were sacrificed to the ‘peaceful’ surgeon’s knife and Om Prakash’s ‘love’!

Om Prakash had his lawyers lined up and was ready with the papers for a court marriage. Reports state that Om Prakash had a sinister plan to sell the family land and abscond with Mujahid to Lucknow. Thankfully, his disturbing plan failed despite his blatant audacity and disturbing imagination.
The Fallout and The Fight for Justice
The bizarre saga didn’t go unnoticed. Bharatiya Kisan Union workers, led by farmer leader Shyam Pal, have protested against this forced gender-changing surgery. They demand that the medical college take action against the doctor who duped his patient and performed an illegal surgery. However, the doctor says that Mujahid went willingly under the knife. Allegedly, he was consulting with the doctor for two months before the surgery. And had also consulted a psychiatrist before undergoing the gender reassignment surgery.
However, this narrative by the medical institute has many flaws. Why would Mujahid use the hospital staff’s phone to alert his parents? Why did he not use his own phone if he was there by consent? And why would he slap a police case on Om Prakash and the Doctor for a surgery he volunteered for? These quesries raise concerns about the lack of ethics and strict rules in the medical institutes for surgeries. If a gender change is so easily accomplished in the hospital, the hospital also has a potential for becoming a den for organ trafficking. The police are working to unravel this tangled web of deceit.
