For 16 years, Tahawwur Rana hid behind foreign passports, Deep State protection, and legal loopholes. However, today, this Pakistani shadow agent and co-conspirator of the 26/11 Mumbai massacre is finally extradited to India. This is not just a win for Indian diplomacy. This is justice hunting down terror, one step at a time. And this time, Bharat won’t serve biryani in jail to this mass murderer!
The Face of Friendly Terror: Who Is Tahawwur Rana?
Tahawwur Hussain Rana is not just another “Pakistani-origin businessman.” He is a trained doctor and a Pakistani Army officer. However, his real identity is as a Deep State asset. As a Canadian passport holder, he is a known key accomplice in the blood-soaked horror of the 26/11 Mumbai Attack.
In the late ’90s, Tahawwur Rana set up an immigration business in Chicago named “First World Immigration Services”. But behind the paperwork and polite facade, it was a terrorist’s dream front. He knew Headley from their younger days in Pakistan. And when Headley received the Lashkar’s orders, Rana approved of the plans and helped him in executing the same. Through Rana’s immigration office, he helped David Headley set up a fake branch in Mumbai: Immigrant Law Centre.
Thereafter, these so-called ‘offices’ became the launchpad for the reconnaissance missions that would kill 166 people and scar the soul of Bharat.
Tahawwur Rana helped Headley obtain a five-year visa to India. Additionally, he funded Headley’s travels to India and offered logistical support. And all the while, he knew exactly what was being planned and even added his own twist to it. Rana even stayed at the Taj Hotel with his wife. Not for pleasure, but for scouting it as a target – months before it was engulfed in flames and blood.
Jal Vayu Vihar: The Forgotten Target
A report states that Mumbai’s Jal Vayu Vihar — a colony of Indian Air Force and Navy veterans – was also on the hit list of 26/11.
But why? Because Tahawwur Rana wanted to “avenge” the 1971 surrender of Pakistan in Dhaka. According to Headley’s testimony and journalist Sandeep Unnithan, Rana told Headley that killing war veterans was his personal revenge. Moreover, his ISI masters agreed and gave him the green light to plan this act of misguided vengeance. Luckily, the plan failed. Jal Vayu Vihar was too far from the landing site.
But Tahawwur Rana’s intent was sheer brutality with a crystal clear vision of hate. This wasn’t a random act of terrorism. 26/11 was Pakistan’s army, its intelligence agency, and their anti-India ideology coming together to slaughter Indians — civilians, veterans, tourists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, everyone.
Deep State Acquittal: A Favour to ISI
In 2009, Headley and Rana were arrested in the US. David Headley plead guilty and turned into approver. However, Rana never accepted his role in the 26/11 Mumbai attack. In 2011, a US court convicted Tahawwur Rana for helping plan a Denmark terror plot. He was found guilty of supporting Lashkar-e-Taiba. This was the very group that unleashed the 26/11 Mumbai attack. But here’s the twist: despite FBI proof – Rana was acquitted of the Mumbai attacks. How?
Because the US Deep State needed Pakistan’s compliance to keep Bharat in check!
Basically, the Deep State needed to appease the ISI and the Pakistani Army. It needed the very agency that hosted Osama bin Laden and trained Hafiz Saeed. Thus, Rana’s role in 26/11 was buried to protect “strategic relations.” This wasn’t justice. This was geopolitics dressed up as a legal process.
The judge even acknowledged that the plot was “dastardly,” but Rana walked away from 166 Indian deaths.
He served a reduced sentence and then fought tooth & nail to stay in the US. Safe and protected by the dirty deeds he did for ISI and its Deep State masters. But Bharat did not forget. Neither did it forgive!
Modi’s Diplomacy Brings the Terrorist Home
After years of persistence by Indian agencies, Tahawwur Rana ran out of luck. He appealed to every American court and even the Supreme Court of India. All the pleas were rejected. Modi’s government had laid the diplomatic groundwork. It paid off brilliantly. Patience and meticulous work along with diplomatic deals ensured that Tahawwur Rana could no longer run away from justice!
On 10th April 2025, Tahawwur Rana landed in Delhi on a special flight.
He was arrested immediately by the National Investigation Agency. No red carpet. No backdoor bail. Just handcuffs, courtrooms, and Tihar jail. And this time, there will be no biryani waiting for him. There will be justice and the Indian security services awaiting their new “mehmaa”.
Tahawwur Rana shall finally face the charges he once escaped. The phone records, the visa facilitation, and the reconnaissance are very documented. The 200+ calls between him and Headley, as well as Headley’s testimony, are on record. And his links to ISI’s Major Iqbal as well as his stay at the Taj are well known. Add to this his plans to kill 1971 war heroes, and Rana has some serious trouble coming his way.
May all his sins come back to haunt him while he rots in an Indian jail awaiting Justice.
India No Longer a “Sheep State”
India is no longer the “sheep state” of 2008 under the Silent PM and an Italian lady that wanted to pin all of 26/11 on RSS and Hindutva! India that is Bharat, is a nation that roars loudly and stalks its prey. It remembers its martyrs, hunts its enemies, and demands justice with aplomb. The Deep State may have protected Rana. But they only delayed his punishment.
But Bharat never forgot his crimes and Trump’s USA gave India the chance to serve revenge.
Now, it’s time to show the world that Indian blood is not cheap. The 26/11 Mumbai attack was not just a terror attack. It was an act of war by Pakistan on India. And Tahawwur Rana – the ISI puppet – will finally answer for it.
Let no one forget the names of the martyrs like Tukaram Omble. May no Indian offer this 64-year-old terrorist sympathy – even if he is a Muslim. Let justice be delivered to heal the scars of Mumbai.
