These stones are the bricks and stones hurled at the police and law enforcement officials during the tumultuous Smabhal Riots of November 2024. Now, these stone make up the construction of the Satyavrat Police Outpost. The Onslaught: November 2024 Samabhal Riots

On 24 November 2024, Sambhal witnessed unprecedented violence. A court-ordered survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid or Harihar Mandir ignited “peaceful” fervor and tensions, leading to violent clashes. However, this time, Sambhal’s peacefuls did not target the Hindus. The “peaceful” mob of approximately 1000 zombies confronted the police present in the area to facilitate the court-ordered survey. Investigations reveal that the Samajwadi Party leader Barq and the President of the Jamia Masjid Committee incited the “peacefuls.” Consequently, a pre-planned riot erupted in Sambhal where stones were pelted at the police forces.

Over 20 police officers sustained injuries and several vehicles were set ablaze.

The “peaceful” rioters’ aggression escalated to the point where they looted weapons and ammunition from the police. Thus, endangering the lives of law enforcement personnel. ​A woman constable reported how she was groped and molested by the peaceful rioters while trying to control the increasingly blood-hungry mob! When the dawn rose the next day at Sambhal, lorries carried away 6 loads of stones, bricks, and more that rained down on the police personnel! Thereby, proving to the world how well pre-pared Smabhal’s “peacefuls” were! And the pre-planned nature of the incident is self-evident!

Sambhal Stones – From Weapons of Hate to Symbols of Authority

In a move laden with symbolism, authorities collected six trolleys full of bricks and stones used in the riots. These remnants of violence turned into construction material for the Satyavrat Police Outpost, located directly opposite the Shahi Jama Masjid.

This two-story, hi-tech Police complex features a watchtower and a CCTV control room, ensuring enhanced vigilance in the area. ​

The outpost’s foundation stone was laid on 28th December 2024. And a promise was issued that the very stones used to harm the police shall be used to protect them. Hence, 100 days later the completed Police Outpost of Smabhal. An 8-year-old girl, Gungun Kashyap, had the honor of inaugurating the facility on Ram Navami. Thereby, symbolizing a hopeful future and the community’s trust in law enforcement.

The plaque outside the outpost showcases Shri Krishna’s most famous shloka of the Bhagvad Gita: 

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत ।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ।।

परित्राणाय साधूनाम् विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् ।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ।।

Hence, they are now Stones of Dharma and Defiance against “peaceful” agitations.
