Gorakhpur Human Traffick ring was exposed by the arrest of Reshma Khan, a Bangladeshi resident. The Ramgarhtal police had arrested this Bangladeshi “peaceful” Reshma and “peaceful” Roshenara in January. Their investigation exposed the horrifying reality of an organized “peaceful” human trafficking and prostitution racket operating in Gorakhpur.
The case is alarming because the victims were young and vulnerable Hindu girls.
Allegedly 300 girls were betrayed not by a stranger, but by this “peaceful” woman who once shared their fate.
Reshma Khan transitioned from the first victim to a perpetrator. Initially trapped in this business of flesh trade, she later became a key player. This “peaceful” woman began to recruit other girls through deception, coercion, and blackmail. As details emerge, the scale of exploitation and betrayal continues to shock the conscience of the community in Gorakhpur.

Police investigations reveal that “peaceful” Reshma Khan was actively targeting Hindu girls at hookah bars. In particular the Janice Bottle Restaurant in Geeta Vatika, Shahpur was her haunt of choice. She gained the teenage girls’ trust, understood their weaknesses, and then exploited them.
First, young Hindu girls were invited to parties at hookah bars and introduced to an extravagant lifestyle. Later, they were given expensive gifts and money to lure them further. Gradually, they were forced into prostitution. Anyone who resisted was threatened with scandalous videos and photos of them in compromising positions.

This “peaceful” web of deception came to light on 2nd January 2025, when a minor from Ramgarhtal filed a gang rape complaint.
The investigation, initially seen as an isolated crime, soon uncovered a larger network. Within days, two more teenage victims from Campierganj and Deoria filed similar reports, confirming the existence of an organized trafficking ring in Gorakhpur. The police reveal that close to 300 Hindu girls were traficked by the “peaceful” Reshma Khan!
Gorakhpur Network of Exploitation: Who Was Involved?
Unfortunately, Reshma Khan was not alone. The trafficking ring was a well-structured network operating in various parts of Gorakhpur. Some of the Hindu victims had turned into predators themselves. Thus, multiple players ensure the smooth running of this criminal operation.
Muskan (from Kusmhi Bazaar) and Shrey Shukla (from Shahpur) worked at the hookah bar, where they facilitated the recruitment of girls.
The role of these girls was to transport the victims to pre-arranged locations, earning ₹700 per day for their services.
The main operator was Anirudh Ojha. He is already arrested along with eight other accused, indicating a deeply entrenched system of trafficking. The police have now tightened their grip on the remaining members of the gang. SP City Abhinav Tyagi has confirmed that legal action will be taken against hotel owners and other facilitators who provided cover for this illegal operation.

The rescue of these young girls and the arrest of key figures marks a crucial first step in dismantling the “peaceful” network of exploitation. However, this case raises critical questions about the larger issue of human trafficking:
- How many more such “peaceful” organized networks exist in different cities? – A similar network in Beawar was discovered not many days ago! It seems to be the new business model – lure naive Hindu girls and sexually exploit them for money or conversion.
- What preventive measures can be taken to protect vulnerable girls from such traps? – Hindu parents and Sanatani Society need to teach young Hindu girls to be wary of “peacefuls” . They must also warn their children to make them aware of such operations. Expensive “peaceful” gifts are never free, they demand their price in “flesh” or “dharma”!
- How do we rehabilitate survivors so they do not fall back into the same cycle? Such incidents blacken the society and scar the victims. And will such girls be able to run a normal life one day?
While the law has caught up with Reshma Khan and her associates, the real justice lies in ensuring no more girls fall prey to such organized crimes. Grooming Gangs and the Flesh Trade networks are the rot that harms any society. Additionally, the advent of technology has made it easier for such gangs to catch, harass, and blackmail victims. Thus, stronger enforcement, community awareness, and better support systems are essential to prevent future betrayals of trust.
This case is a reminder of the battles against “peacefuls” that use young girls in their greed for flesh and fortune.
Therefore, such stories and incidents deserve to be heard – not as mere crime reports, but as calls for lasting change and awareness in society.
