Impact on Punjab’s Religious Fabric

Pastor Bajinder Singh’s activities have ignited debates about religious conversions in Punjab. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal states that his aggressive proselytizing methods are protescted by the AAP governemnt. He is threat to the cultural and religious fabric of the state. Yet, CM Mann and Bollywood stars stand in his support. Thankfully, organizations like the VHP and others have raised alarms over the increasing instances of forced or deceitful conversions.

In October 2021, the VHP demanded the enactment of laws to curb such activities, aiming to preserve the sanctity of Punjab’s diverse religious landscape.
