Pakistan : A Beggar Arming for War?!

Must Read

Tensions between India and Pakistan are once again teetering on a dangerous edge following the brutal Pak-sponsored Islamist terror attack in Pahalgam. India responded with strong measures from suspending the Indus Waters Treaty to canceling all Pakistani visas. However, it seems that the shit-scared Islamabad, instead of introspection, has gone into full war mode.

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif openly warned that any Indian attack would spark an “all-out war,” while Bilawal Bhutto Zardari issued blood-curdling threats about Indian blood flowing if the Indus waters were stopped.

On Sunday, Pakistan’s Hanif Abbasi made it crystal clear: the 130 nuclear warheads and an arsenal of Ghori, Shaheen, and Ghaznavi missiles have been kept “only for India.” Yet even more alarming is the reality that Pakistan, despite its collapsing economy and “beggar” status, is arming itself to the teeth – backed quietly but solidly by China.

Fresh Arms, Fresh Loans for Pakistan: The Dangerous Game

Even as Pakistan stares at bankruptcy and implosion, it has managed to secure a major shipment of China’s deadly PL-15 Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air-to-air missiles. These long-range missiles are usually seen only with China’s own air force. However, they are now being fitted onto Pakistan’s JF-17 Block III fighter jets.

Unlike the watered-down export models, the PL-15s delivered to Pakistan were sourced directly from China’s PLA stocks.

This rare move signals China’s clear strategic support at a volatile time. At the same time, Pakistan has reportedly applied for a fresh loan of 10 billion yuan from China. The purpose? To keep the financial wheels turning. Additionally, to sustain military preparedness at a time when it is provoking India with ceasefire violations and war threats.

In short, even though Pakistan cannot feed its people – it is begging and borrowing to feed its war machine.

Why Bharat Must Beware Of China-Armed Pakistan?

Many in India still naively believe that Pakistan is too weak, too broken, or too divided to fight a war. But history shows that an unstable Pakistan is often the most dangerous kind. Armed now with China’s long-range PL-15 missiles, it is capable of targeting Indian jets from hundreds of kilometers away. Thus, their “Na-Pak Irade” stand emboldened by China’s silent backing.

Hence, Pakistan may attempt provocations far more seriously than in the past.

The fresh yuan loan, if approved, will further lubricate Pakistan’s war economy – buying arms and fuel, paying soldiers, and funding proxies across the border. Furthermore, the visible collapse of agreements like the Indus Waters Treaty and the 1972 Simla Agreement has removed the few diplomatic cushions that once existed. Islamabad’s calculated threats, combined with China’s timely weapons supply, should be seen for what they are:

A preparation for escalation, not mere posturing.

Turkey’s Hidden Hand: More Than Just Words

Turkey, under Erdogan, is also one of Pakistan’s most vocal backers of Kashmir and an emerging military partner. While mainstream media reports focus on Turkey’s rhetoric, what goes underreported is Turkey’s transfer of defense technology to Pakistan.

From drone tech (Bayraktar drones) to naval collaboration (military ships and submarines), Ankara is helping Pakistan beef up its military capabilities.

Sources state that the Pakistan military received cargo from a Turkish helicopter. Yet, the details of the cargo remain unavailable. More alarmingly, Turkish religious organizations openly support jihad against India.

In simple terms: Turkey is not just cheering for Pakistan – it is actively arming Pakistan’s mind and military.

USA’s Silent Complicity: More Than Meets the Eye

While Washington officially claimed neutrality, Trump condemned the Pahalgam Islamist terror attack. However, it is now urging “de-escalation” by offering to negotiate a truce! In late 2022, the Biden administration approved a $450 million F-16 sustainment package for Pakistan. Thus, giving new life to Pakistan’s Jihad in the name of an aging fighter fleet.

The U.S. continues to treat Pakistan as a “major non-NATO ally,” providing certain strategic privileges despite Pakistan’s record of harboring terrorists.

In February 2025, the USA approved $397 million in funding for Pakistan to maintain the F-16 fighter jet fleet. Trump 1.0 in 2018 had stopped the funds due to India’s protest regarding terror-financing by Pakistan using US funds. However, Trump 2.0 has released these funds and barely a month later, Pahalgam’s Pak-sponsored Islsamist terror attack occurs.  In effect, the US funds are rerouted for cross-border terrorism and war against India. Thereby, ensuring that beggar-state Pakistan remains militarily potent.

This double game must be recognized for what it is: a deliberate balancing act where India’s security comes second to American strategic interests in South Asia.

Pakistan’s Ceasefire Violations and Proxy Actions

Pakistan is flexing its new missile acquisitions while awaiting fresh loans and enjoying US funds! Its army has resumed unprovoked firing across the LoC, violating the ceasefire opposite Kupwara and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistani terror groups have also increased infiltration attempts post-Pahalgam, indicating that Pakistan plans to continue using jihadist proxies even as it upgrades its conventional military strength.

In short: the escalation is not theoretical — it is already happening.

While some analysts still argue that “Pakistan is too weak to fight,” the facts suggest otherwise. Pakistan is openly preparing for escalation – nuclear threats renewed, missiles upgraded, planes rearmed, and old alliances refreshed.

Pakistan is being funded and armed by China and Turkey, with the US funds lining its pocket or worse, enabling it.

The terror state is desperate enough to risk chaos, knowing it has powerful backers who will step in diplomatically if India hits back hard. In this context, India’s strong measures — diplomatic, economic, and military – must continue with greater urgency and clarity. A wounded and bankrupt Pakistan is dangerous.

However, a wounded, bankrupt, and well-armed Pakistan backed by superpowers is even more dangerous – And that today is the real threat India must prepare for.
