A report reveals a chilling revelation from West Bengal’s Murshidabad district. It seems Hindu homes were marked with black ink before being selectively attacked during recent “peaceful” riots. The violence that erupted in the Name of Waqf Protests left a trail of destruction, fear, and displacement among the Hindu community of Murshidabad. Forced to flee in the dark of the night, the tales of horror faced by Hindus compound in this light of new revelations!
Pre-Marked for Destruction in Murshidabad
According to a ground report by NMF News, Hindu residences in Murshidabad were systematically marked with black ink. This black ink mark was a signal to the “peacefuls” to target attacks on Hindu homes. Journalist Pankaj Prasoon highlighted the existence of these markings that served as indicators for rioters. These marks of terror were disguised as ink spills and were only borne by Hindu residences or shops!
Imagine how pre-planned the riots of Murshidabad were where Hindu homes were identified to bomb and set ablaze.
This premeditated strategy underscores a disturbing level of coordination in the violence. When the unrest began on 11th April 2025 following Friday Namaz, the Warf Protestors went after homes and communities that had these black marks. The “peacefuls” protests turned violent by burning Hindu homes and businesses. Reports indicate that the “peaceful” mobs looted shops, destroyed property, and left many families homeless.
Hindu Displacement – A Pattern of Hinduphobia
The human toll of the violence on the Hindus of Murshidabad is profound. Hindus recounted harrowing experiences of their homes being invaded, belongings looted, and lives threatened. Women tell tales of how they were molested or asked to trade their honor for their lives! One shop owner lamented the destruction of his livelihood, while others spoke of hiding on rooftops, praying for safety.
The “peaceful” violence forced hundreds of Hindus to flee their homes across the Bhagirathi to seek refuge in neighboring districts.
The inability of the administration to control the situation forced Calcutta High Court to take cognizance of the problem. Only when the court directed the central forces to act did the attack on Hindu homes subsided! The court has also asked the BSF to remain in the affected areas and urged restraint from “peaceful” parties. Despite these measures, the fear and trauma inflicted upon the victims remain unaddressed. The TMC government has offered monetary compensation, but true justice is far away.
Political Repercussions and Calls for Justice
While the violence continues in small incidents, the political landscape continues to stir up in Murshidabad. BJP criticized the TMC government’s handling of the situation, calling for accountability and justice for the victims. CM Mamata has blamed the BSF and BJP for stoking the violence. And TMC’s formation of a nine-member SIT to investigate the role of BSF by the West Bengal Police has painted things in ugly colors!
The Supreme Court has expressed concern over the violence, labeling it as “very disturbing” and emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation.
As the nation grapples with the implications of these events, the affected communities await tangible actions that ensure their safety and uphold justice. The Murshidabad riots serve as a grim reminder of the precarious status of Hindus in their own land! “Peaceful” tensions can disrupt the sense of “secular” security at any moment. The targeted nature of the attacks, marked by the black ink on Hindu homes, highlights a level of premeditation that should scare the whole nation.
