Hindu Exodus in Bengal: Waqf Protest Sparks Hindu Displacement

Must Read

Waqf Protest in West Bengal took a turn for the worse after the Jumma Namaz. West Bengal’s Murshidabad district saw fatalities, injuries, and significant property damage. The violence was unchecked and uncontrollable. Finally, the Calcutta High Court intervened by ordering the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces to restore order. However, the poor and helpless Hindus of Bengal crossed Ganga to reach safety. It seems appeasement policies shall continue to show Bharat repeated Hindu Exoduses once the minority becomes majority!

Murshidabad Waqf Protest: A Snapshot

On 2nd April 2025, after a 17 hour session, the Waqf (Amendment) Act passed the Lok Sabha. A similar political head butting was held in Rajya Sabha on 3rd April 2025. The bill cleared both houses by majority. And finally, on 5th April 2025, the President’s sign and seal turned it into the Law of the Land.

However, the misinformation and disinformation used by political parties had taken root in the minds of the “peaceful” minority.

Thus, on 8th April 2025 egged by political rhetoric and armed with misinformation the “peacefuls” set fire to the Murshidabad district. First, the “peaceful” demonstrators blocked National Highway 12. However, soon they began their unruly “peaceful” mob work. They set police vehicles ablaze, attacked a local MP’s office, and disrupted train services at Nimtita railway station.

The clashes resulted in three deaths, over ten injuries, and more than 150 arrests.

The viral videos of the Hindus who fled from the conflict zone tell a soul-stirring tale of horror. Women tell tales of how young boys of 12-14 years old ask them to exchange their honor for the life of their kin. Victims tell how their water was poisoned. Men folk weep as they narrate how their cattle were burned alive. The Hindus of Murshidabad district lived an unimaginable and shameful horror in the name of “peaceful protest” in the last few days!

Calcutta High Court Steps In Stop Waqf Violence

In response to the escalating violence, the Calcutta High Court directed the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces in Murshidabad. It took the apolitical central forces 24 hours to bring the situation under control. The court emphasized that earlier intervention could have de-escalated the situation. Thus, it criticized the state administration for their lack of timely measures. The court also stated that such deployments should extend to other districts facing similar unrest.

Analysts wonder why 24 hours of central control ensured peace in the region!

Many netizens ask if TMC leaders placed Hindu lives lower than their political ambitions to let it reach the level of mass exodus. The observers ask why incendiary speeches are still being made by TMC leaders while Murshidabad burns. Moreover, Hindus on social media ask why the state administration blames the BJP or BSF when Hindu lives are lost to peaceful perpetrators that make up the TMC vote bank. The questions are unknown while the Hindus of Bengal run to safeguard their lives!

Political Reactions: Accusations and Criticisms

The BJP states that 400 Hindus stand displaced due to TMC inaction as the Waqf Protest turned violent. They accuse the West Bengal government and CM Mamata Banerjee of failing to maintain law and order. BJP leaders allege that the administration’s appeasement politics have contributed to the unrest. Thus, leading to the persecution of Hindus in the region.

The West Bengal Congress blames both TMC and BJP for the state of fury that burns Bengal. As per Adhiranjan Chaudhary, the two political parties have created religious faultlines in West Bengal that have led to a dangerous situation. West Bengal burns at the drop of the hat whenever a communal issue is raised. Unfortunately, he and the Congress are unable to justify why no matter the issue, the one being burnt, murdered, raped, or hurt is a Hindu at the end of the day!

Hindustan’s Historical Parallels of Hindu Exodus

The current situation in Murshidabad draws parallels to many instances of past “peaceful” communal violence. The Hindu exodus of Kashmir in the 1990s and Meities in 2024 are the most commonly understood. Whenever Hindus fall into a minority in a state, Abrahamic religions burn the state till Hindus flee for their lives.

In 1978, Sambhal saw its demographic minority of Hindus run to save their lives!

Hence, no matter the excuse, the “peacefuls” or “rice bags” ensured the Hindu exodus when they reached the majority. While TMC MPs bow down to the mobocracy of the “peacefuls,” the Hindus need to realize the true face of the people they elect for freebies!

In Summary

The recent zombie Waqf mobs in Murshidabad underscore the fragility of Hindu existence. Moreover, it highlights the importance of timely governmental intervention to protect Hindus. While the LeLi Gang shouts “Hindutva Goons”, the truth is that no life is lost due to Hindu agitations. However, every “peaceful” protest ensures harm to Hindus.

Let’s hope that as tensions simmer down, good thinking prevails. Many Hindus observe the behavior of those who fought for them and who fought for their assailants. May Maa Kali show the path to Hindus else the existence of Hindus shall be chiselled out of the land of their forefathers. Let’s pray for those who left their home to find their road home. And let’s aspire to have all laws of the nation respected by all parties – irrespective of their political agenda!
