Nupur Sharma Villified By Lawyer In Ranveer Allahabadia Case

Must Read

It has been nearly three years, and Nupur Sharma is still suspended. She continues to live under threat and is still unable to step out in public. This is the price Nupur Sharma pays stating a fact that is written in Islamic Hadiths in a public debate.

Meanwhile, YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia’s lawyer uses her example to save his client. Ranveer built his brand on a so-called Dharmic journey of self-discovery. However, he freely indulged in sensational, dirty jokes about incest for cheap social media engagement.

Yet, for the sake of emphasis, Hindu lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud tried to save Hindu Ranveer Allahabadia by throwing Hindu Nupur Sharma under the bus. He argued in court that her statements were far worse than what Ranveer said. How? Why?

The False Equivalence: Ranveer Allahbadia vs. Nupur Sharma

During a plea for relief, Ranveer Allahabadia’s lawyer dragged Nupur Sharma into the debate, completely unprovoked. He argued that the public statements made by Nupur Sharma were “far worse” than Ranveer’s dirty jokes. But let’s break this down:

Ranveer’s Sick Jokes:

He indulged in crude and immoral humor by coaxing someone to consider an incestuous relationship with their parents. He asked the contestant to consider “suck his **** for 2 crores”! This was done in the guise of ‘edgy and dark humor’ podcast content. The audience and fellow judges clapped. They all laughed at the cheap “X-rated” content. However, the social media virality of the jokes brought home the ugly reality of the deranged morality behind these jokes.

Nupur Sharma’s Statement:

While being attacked on the Shivling in Gyanvapi Mandir, Nupur Sharma merely quoted what is written in Islamic scriptures in a TV debate. She specifically stated the words of Sunan an-Nasa’i 3378 and Sahih al-Bukhari 5134. These verses exist in Islamic books, are discussed by Muslim scholars, and are even used by figures like Zakir Naik in his sermons. They guide policies in Islamic Sharia nations. Her words were clipped and misrepresented by Mohammed Zubair of ALT News, leading to violent riots across India.

Thus, how can quoting religious texts be hurtful to the “peacefuls”? These openly available and widely discussed texts caused riots in Bharat after being clipped for effect! However, Ranveer Allahbadia’s lawyer considered them “worse” than encouraging incestuous discussions!

The Real Victim vs. The Beneficiaries

Nupur Sharma remains suspended. She is forced into hiding, unable to live a normal life.
Ranveer Allahabadia is currently hunted by haters. However, most predict that he will be back to making podcasts in a few months. After all, not a large number of his followers have left his social media pages!

Abhinav Chandrachud, a Hindu lawyer, saw no issue in maligning Nupur just to save Hindu Ranveer Allahbadia.

Who will benefit from this recent argument made in court? The very forces that defamed an innocent woman. Those who sat back and enjoyed the hounding of Nupur Sharma with popcorn in hand shall rejoice in once more dragging her name through the mud!

Nupur Sharma spoke the truth and paid the price with her freedom.

Ranveer Allahabadia indulged in filth and will mostly walk away from it without paying a similar cost.

And yet, for Lawyer Chandrachud, it is Nupur Sharma who remains the villain.

The Hypocrisy of Selective Morality

This is where India’s so-called secularism cracks wide open. The same voices that demanded Nupur Sharma’s arrest, exile, or even execution are silent when a so-called “influencer” talks about disturbing sexual discussions. The same people who defended violent mobs attacking Hindus are now asking for leniency for a privileged YouTuber who crossed all limits of morality.

Ranveer Allahbadia is not on trial for a “dark” joke. He is facing the wrath of Hindus for pretending to be on a journey of Dharma. He used the Hindu gurus and Sanatana Dharma as a money-making business to gain name and fame. To many he presented himself as a Bhakt on a path of self-discovery. Yet, he indulged in cheap and ugly humor at the first chance he got! Thus, the Hindu society is making him pay for trying to dupe them!

The real question is: Why is quoting religious books a greater offense than promoting incestuous thoughts?

And more importantly: How long does Nupur Sharma have to pay the price for publicly talking about Islamic Hadiths?
