UP Police Neutralises 3 Wanted Khalistani Terrorists in Pilibhit Encounter
In a significant operation on Monday, December 23, the Uttar Pradesh(UP) Police neutralised three wanted Khalistani terrorists in an encounter in the Pilibhit district. The terrorists, identified as Gurwinder Singh, Virendra Singh, and Jasanpreet Singh, were associated with the banned Khalistan Commando Force and were wanted for a grenade attack on a police post in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district.

The Encounter: A Joint Effort by UP and Punjab Police
Acting on a tip-off, the Uttar Pradesh Police, in coordination with the Punjab Police, launched an operation to apprehend the terrorists who were hiding in Pilibhit. The authorities surrounded the area and requested the terrorists to surrender. However, the suspects refused, resulting in a scuffle that escalated into an encounter.

The injured terrorists were rushed to the Community Health Centre in Puranpur and later transferred to the district hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.

The operation led to the recovery of significant arms and ammunition from the terrorists, including two AK-47 rifles and two Glock pistols. These findings highlight the dangerous capabilities of the Khalistani militants and the potential threat they posed.
UP Police Lauded for Their Swift Action
Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar praised the joint efforts of the Uttar Pradesh and Punjab Police in neutralising the terrorists. “This operation showcases the commitment of our forces to safeguarding the nation. Despite requesting their surrender, the terrorists chose violence, and the situation was dealt with accordingly,” he said.
